With the start of school, this may be the last post on the blog for a while. But I promise that I’ll start posting again soon!
I wanted to take this post to talk about one of our favorite shows at Bard, “The Newsroom.” It’s currently halfway through its second season, and it just keeps getting better. The first season was great, but a bit shaky in a few places. I think that the writers and the actors have REALLY stepped up their game for the current season.
“The Newsroom” is a really interesting show to watch because the writers always work REAL news into the episodes, even if the news is from a year or so before. For example, there was just a really great episode that focused on the Occupy Movement. In the first season, there was an episode about the death of Osama Bin Laden. This always makes me excited to see where the show will go. I’m guessing there will be some future episodes about the Arab Spring, so I am really looking forward to those.
I highly recommend The Newsroom. It’s not too late to get on board! The second season is not even over yet!
